You CAN get stronger.

You CAN get leaner.

You CAN (probably) get more “flexible”

You can feel more confidence in your clothing.

But you aren’t going to change where your body stores fat. So accept that if you store weight in your legs or abdomen, that’s where you store weight. Accept that you are the age you are. Accept that your limbs are the length they are. Accept your stretch marks and scars. Accept your wrinkles.

And once you accept all of that, you can free up all the energy you have spent trying to make a difference in those area — something you cannot change — into something that will: healthy choices and exercises will be dedicated to feeling good, feeling vital, feeling energetic.

Put energy into the things that are effective: healthy eating, cooking, active living, body sustainability, making choices that make you feel alive and confident and vital.

Accept your body shape. It accepts you.
